At the corner of South Hill Avenue and West 5th Street LA, California, the proposed office tower houses multiple amenity spaces for both the occupants on the upper floors and the general public on the streetscape. Using a vertical steel structure in combination with CLT floor slabs the Building serves as a vehicle for the promotion of CLT construction for wood's renewable and carbon sequestering properties. The Proposal is also fitted with a curtain wall system that works to collect dew in hopes of offsetting some of the building's water usage. The angle in which the curtain wall is arranged helps to achieve a greater incident angle to minimize glare on the interior. This was established through the use of climate studio.
