A FIREWOOD SHELTER

The request was for a structure that would provide shelter for firewood. The Project accommodates this request as well as celebrates the task of obtaining this primitive fuel source. The process of splitting wood is looked upon for one moment. The moment of split. A wedge to cause this split and the effects that follow. With this one moment, comes a point of interaction between steel and wood punctuated by rock that is so prevalent in the earth. The structure is charred to symbolize the final stage of which firewood is used and to provide a natural deterrent to pests.
